What is the method called when alligators kill their prey?

Alligators and crocodiles tend to ambush and grab their prey, dragging the prey underwater to drown. As they have no shearing or chewing teeth, they will take a grip and then spin violently until a piece of flesh has been torn off the prey, and then swallowed by the reptile whole.
