Why did the parliaments disliked archbishop laud?

Parliaments disliked Archbishop Laud primarily due to his strong support for high church practices and his efforts to impose stricter adherence to Anglican rituals, which many viewed as a move towards Catholicism. His policies alienated Puritan members of Parliament, who sought more reform and greater religious liberty.
