What is polligative?

Colligative properties are physical properties of solutions that depend on the number of solute particles in a given quantity of solvent, but not on the chemical identity of the solute. These properties include lowering the vapor pressure, raising the boiling point, lowering the freezing point, and osmotic pressure of the solution.
