The Korean War, which lasted from 1950 to 1953, resulted in significant military casualties. Approximately 1.2 million soldiers from North Korea and around 900,000 from China died. The United States lost about 36,500 military personnel, while South Korea suffered approximately 217,000 military deaths. Other UN forces also experienced casualties, bringing the total military deaths during the war to over 1.5 million.
