There are a number of factors that can cause a premature birth. One is called Preeclampsia, which is complications that arise due to high blood pressure. Another factor is antepartum hemorrhaging , or vaginal bleeding after 28 weeks. Additional factors include excessive amniotic fluid around the fetus, even someone who has had either multiple pregnancies or is having twins. It is recommended that any concerns one would have regarding preterm birth be brought to the attention of your doctor immediately.
