Is it illegal to buy a zebra as a pet?

It is perfectly legal to own a zebra as long as you have an exotic license. But remember that zebras are pack animals so if you plan to buy one PLEASE only do so if you have horses or plan to buy more than one zebra, and if you have a large backyard with a good exercise area.
