There is no such Word, but 'tupuna' means ancestor.

Yes, 'tupuna' means ancestor in the Maori language (see Words=tupuna">http://www.maoridictionary.co.nz/index.cfm?dictionaryKeyWords=tupuna).

But "Tunapuna" definitely is a Word. It is the name of a town on the island of Trinidad, the larger of the two islands comprising the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean.

According to Gerard A. Besson in 'The Caribbean History Archives' (http://caribbeanhistoryarchives.blogspot.com/2011/08/land-of-beginnings.html), "Tunapuna means 'on the river'." It is one of the many "Amerindian names of plants, trees and animals," left by "the earliest settlers of Trinidad".
