How many cups of peanut butter equals a pound?

firstly i would like to say that that is a dumb question, like asking what ways more a pound of feathers or a pound of rocks! and secondly there are 2 cups in a pound.

-Its not a stupid question. But that is a stupid answer. Just because something ways a pound, doesn't mean it is equivalent to 2 cups. Saying that 2 cups of anything equals a pound is like saying a cup of rocks equals a cups of feathers. Anyway, a pound of peanut butter typically ranges from 1 3/4 cup up to 2 1/4 cups. It really depends on the amount of fat in the product. the more fat the more it will weigh and the more volume it will take up.
