What should you do if cut of a finger?

Take all parts of the severed finger and wrap them in something ideally clean and sterile, and keep it cold as best you can. Apply pressure to the injury to control bleeding, and get to an ER as soon as possible. There is generally a 6-12 hour window to successfully surgically repair the finger.
