The pros, if there were any, really, were more land was given to the white Americans, and it prevented whites from rebelling further (particularly those in Georgia and the South.)

Assimilation would have been a better option but was put to the wayside.
The removal resulted in rebellion from Native Americans.
Many Native Americans died from the harsh conditions and illness on the Trail of Tears, when they were forced to go west.
