The benefits of eating an egg come from the high amount of protein the egg white contains. The yellow center of the egg is high in carbs and fat though, so ideally you should eat only the egg white, or several egg whites with one yellow. Eating it raw is not beneficial in itself, but frying an egg does make it contain more fat, so you should boil the egg instead to avoid adding calories. If you want to eat the egg raw, consider mixing it into a smoothie or protein shake.
Eggs are an Excellent and essential source of protein, and protein helps you gain muscle and muscle helps you burn fat. Everyone should have a source of protein in their diets and eggs are a good and delicious, filling choice. Just don't eat too many or too many of the centers!
