Why do Native Americans own casinos?

It was a combination of government policies and treaties that made it possible for Native Americans to have their own land, government and constitution on what is know as reservations, casinos offer federally recognized tribes to open Indian gaming so that they have a means to support themselves and to provide for their community with health care, housing law enforcement etc... it replaces normal government taxes that most states and the United states use to support its community. Without taxes America would not have schools, police, fire, medicare etc...
