Do you have to get surgery if you tore a muscle in your knee?

More then likely the doctors would have to go in and smooth the soft part of your knee back down. I am not completely positive, but I know someone who tore it, and had to go into a minor operation to soften it and smooth is all down, so there would bw no tear.
