What is an fdda circuit?

Full Data(FD) circuits are copper circuits used to transmit low grade data through a network. Most applications (but not all) are in the utility industry. For example the water company will use an FDDA to transmit the level of a well back to their monitoring station and if the level is too low, the operator can tell the well to pump through the receive side of the circuit.
