Who invented Cinderella?

The story of Cinderella has origins in various cultures and has been told in different forms for centuries. One of the earliest known versions is attributed to the ancient Greek historian Strabo, but the most famous rendition was popularized by French author Charles Perrault in his 1697 collection "Histoires ou contes du temps passé." The tale has since been adapted and retold by numerous authors, including the Brothers Grimm in their own version titled "Aschenputtel."
