How can you make a pellet gun more accurate? I have a gamo big cat 1200 and a stoeger x50 and they are never dead on with accuracy. Any advice? I have been thinking about putting a 22 gun scope on it.

When you ask a question and then answer your own question, there is a good chance it will never get answered by anyone. Keep the answer section clear so it will show up as "UNANSWERED"

Now to answer your question: Pellets play a very big part in accuracy. cheap or lightweight pellets are very inaccurate. They will fly very fast but drift off target easily. Most people are hung up on speed and that is a mistake. A heavy pellet (YES they come in different weights) are slower, more accurate and pack a bigger harder punch than lightweight pellets. Your welcome to use a rifle scoop I have several of my air rifles mounted with scopes. I also use heavy pellets and have little problem with accuracy. I suggest the following pellet manufactures. "H&N Baracuda Match, .177 Cal, 10.65 Grains, Round Nose" or "Predator Polymag .177 Cal, 8.0 Grains, Pointed."

There are 4 basic shapes for pellets (Round = universal) (Pointed = distance) (Flat = Target) (Hollowpoint = Hunting) and then are variations of these shapes. A pellet I don't recommend is the "Gamo Raptor" it's a lightweight inaccurate pellet. Stay away from daisy pellets. If your going to be serious about your air gun then learn about pellets, they are the other half of the accuracy equation.
