Can hermit crabs go outside

It depends, if it's spring or summer and it's between 70-90 then yes, but only for a little while because they need humidity of 70-80 to breathe because they have modified gills (but they can still drown).

Also make sure there are no fertilizers where the hermie is crawling about.
