It depends entirely on the person's tolerance. For someone like me who uses the highest dose and goes through 120/150 per month, taking 5 would reduce my pain a bit faster, but that's about it. For me and others like me, it's like taking aspirin.
However, for someone not tolerant to the effects of opiates, it could easily send the person into respiratory arrest, leading to brain damage and/or death if not revived in time. It would of course depend on the person and the dosage of Percocet involved.
In someone not tolerant, they would likely get drowsy within 20
respiratory failure (due to the nervous system being depressed by the opiates) would eventually lead to cardiac arrest and death.
