How is segregation of waste done?

Waste is segregated accoding to the following types: Biodegradable waste Recyclable waste Non-recyclable waste Biodegradable waste can be again of different types: food waste, dry leaves, etc. for composting and reuse. Recyclable waste can be of different types, such as: paper, wood, cotton, reusable hardware, glass, metal scrap, etc Non-recyclable waste includes polythenes and plastics which cannot be treated for reuse.
