Most definitely NOT! All having suicide curriculum would do is put thoughts of suicide into student's heads. Teachers and school personel should, however, be aware of students who appear depressed, or show other signs of despair, and notify the student's parents if they suspect a student is having problems. If, and only if, the student's parents will not help their child should schools intervene, other than to work with the parents to help the child.
