How did India's flag get its design?

India's flag got it's design by a man named Pingali Venkayya from Machilipatnam. The orange represents courage and sacrifice , the green symbolizes faith and chivalry , and the white represents peace and truth. These things are what Pingali Venkayya thought India should be known for.
