Tudors tended to rule England as absolute monarchs. Henry VIII had the power to have people killed on a whim, and often ignored the advice of his political ministers. Elizabeth I tended to consider the advice given to her, much more so than her father did, but she always had the last Word. Additionally, Henry VIII and his daughter, Elizabeth I, both ruled England as the political and religious heads of the nation.
