Are there different types of zakat?

If you mean different types of giving to charity, you should know that there are many different things you could give to charity to complete this Pillar. You could give things like food and clothes, but the most common thing given is probably money. Muslims are expected to give 2.5% of their income to charity each year, so Zakat is a pillar which continues throughout your whole life because the more you give, the better. You could also give anything worthy or necessary to countries in Africa, which aren't as fortunate. Pray for them too, because you will prove to the Merciful Allah that you are worthy of his acceptance.
