One way is to start with what interested you in nursing to begin with.

PLEASE don't say "the money!"!! :)

Your first paragragh can outline the HISTORY of what lead up to the point of making the decision to pursuing nursing school. End this FIRST paragragh with a sentence stating 3-4 things that make you a STRONG CANDIDATE for nursing school. Next, address EACH strength in detail - ONE paragraph each. Then, put in a closing paragraph - what you plan to accomplish with the degree.

Rough example:
_________________________________________________________________
My interest in nursing started when I....my mom went to nursing school, I took care of my dying grandmother thorough her last moments, was stricken with a viral illness as five years of age, etc.... then flesh out your story, be sure to show HOW these things shaped your interest in nursing.........then end with why you are a strong candidate: These experiences have made me an (A, B, C), giving me a solid foundation to start a successful career in professional nursing.

I have always been (A)........expound on A

I learned to be (B)......expound on B

I have been (C)........expound on C

I am hoping (A,B,C) will carry me onto............insert your goal with nursing and what you hope to accomplish.
________________________________________________________________

I hope that give you a good starting outline; obviously, the solidity of this letter must come from you and your experiences. :)

Good luck!
