Valve adjustment for intake and exhaust on 1981 Yamaha 650 maxim?

i borrowed the valve adjustment kit from my dealer today.......there is a three week wait for service so ill try it myself... i will post some pointers when i get it done,how hard can it be?top dead center,take a measurment .find the right shim,compress and replace then check it again.and do not loose any thing into the hole or turning the thing upside down to get it back may be an option LOL gerryfraser@sympatico.ca
