Looking for the name of an Old movie where 10 children are sent orphanages when their mother dies?

There's one, made in 1967 or 1968 or thereabouts, called My Mother's Home or My Mother's House, I saw it as a kid and again last year, where there are six or seven children and their mother dies and they keep it quiet from everyone so that they don't get sent to an orphanage, and they cash her cheques every week, but then the father turns up and he's a trouble-maker but then the kids kill him and they leave the house together and it just ends at that.
