Who is Curtis Mathis?

Curtis-Mathes is the name of a company that is now a North American electronics retailer. They used to manufacture high-end television sets, but left that business in 1982.

The founder and president of the company was George Curtis Mathes Jr. He died in 1983 when the Air Canada flight he was on caught fire. He was among 23 fatalities.
