What are some spine chilling ghost stories?

once there was a man out f town and he wanted to go to a hotel for 3 days. She went to a hotel, and went to the desk lady. he asked "can i have a room please?" the lady says "sure. heres room 15, but beware don't go bothering somebody in room 13" the man was looking at his key not paying attention and he said "yeah whatever" but he heard "not to go in room 13" but he got curious so he looked inside the doorhole and he saw an old lady knitting on the rocking chair, and she was all alone. he thought hmm I'll give her a basket with goodies. and when he came back, he peeked in the doorhole and it was all red. he was think "UGH maybe she saw me and covered it with a red blanket" so he went down to the desk lady and said"why is the old lady in room 13 so alone?" and she said "you looked in?!?! well might as well tell you, she was here for over 60 years! she died when she was 63 from being murdered. and her eyes turned red. so if you look in her eyes, THEY ARE RED, her ghost is still here" the man walked away 1 metre from the desk and realised that when he looked in the doorhole and saw the red blanket it was accually the lady staring at him with the red eye!
