Can salmonella produce toxin

Salmonella does not produce a toxin it invades the body though. Botulism does produce a toxin which can effect the nerves.

Edit: Salmonella species are capable of producing a toxin, similar in structure and biological activity to the cholera toxin. Please don't post an answer unless you know it to be correct.
