Can snapping turtles leap or jump in the air say a foot or two off the ground?

Snapping turtles are not capable of leaping or jumping in the air like some other animals. Their body structure is designed for powerful swimming and crawling, but they lack the muscular adaptations needed for significant vertical movement. While they can quickly move their legs and may lunge forward when threatened, they do not jump off the ground a foot or two.
