Why can't you see the other party in Skype?

Many reasons:

1. the other party is haveing equipment problems.

2. the internet lines are crowded and the bandwidth won't permit both video and sound so Skype feels that sound is most important so that is what you get.

3. the other party chooses not to transmit their picture. Like hair in curlers or some other reason.

4. The other party hasn't setup their camera properly in Skype yet.
