What does the name kagome mean?

Hmm... Well, it's from a game. The song they use in it have Kagome for the lyrics, it goes:

Kagome Kagome
Kago no naka no Tori wa
Itsu Itsu deyaru?
Yoake no ban ni Tsuru
to Kame ga subetta.
Ushiro no shoumen dare?

It translates to:

Kagome, Kagome
The bird in the cage
When will you come out?
In the evening of the dawn,
The crane and the turtle slipped.
Who stands right behind you now?

Anyway, I think Kagome means lost... If I can remember correctly.
