All that happens when somebody buys a wild animal is that the animal grows up without knowing his kind in a type of captivity that is like jail. When it grows up, it is not a pet, it is a wild animal which has been treated badly. Find a charity that supports the area where Jaguars live and "adopt" one by donating money for the area or organizations that watch out for them.
