Glucose is completely oxidized after chemiOSmosis because that's when the final products of Glycolysis and The Citric Acid Cycle are used creating the final 36 to 38 ATP molecules. The final products that are used are NADH and FADH2 which are needed in the electron transport chain and ultimatley ChemiOSmosis.
