What are the two types of news paper?

There are various types of newspapers: among the most common are the tabloids-- these are newspapers that focus on scandal or celebrity gossip (like the National Enquirer). Then, there are the dailies-- these are newspapers that operate in many cities, come out each day, and focus on both local and national news: the New York Times and the Washington Post are examples of dailies. There are also weekly newspapers, which function like magazines and often focus on one particular subject: The Sporting News is a weekly and its specialty is coverage of sports. It should also be noted that many dailies and some weeklies are now on the internet, allowing them all to update breaking news, and making it harder to distinguish between the publications that have a print edition each day, and those that have a print edition once a week.
