The B18 and B16 VTEC engines were introduced in the early 1990s. The B16A first appeared in the 1991 Honda Civic Si and the 1992 Honda CRX Si. The B18C, which is part of the B-series family, was most notably found in the 1994-2001 Honda Integra, particularly in the Integra GS-R models.
