Would it hurt if you put baking soda in a cut?

Certainly not, the chemicals in the baking soda, once added to your mouth, can cause strange mutations. Your cut could start growing tentacles or something! I suggest soaking a piece of bread in vinegar and dishwashing liquid (the cheap brand), then massaging the wound with the bread.
