What are the prophecies about Mary giving birth to the Lord Jesus?

A:There is no Old Testament prophecy of the birth of a Messiah. A Christian tradition is that Isaiah 7:14 was a prophecy of the virgin birth of the Messiah: "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."
