In what year did UCLA get its current name?

UCLA, or the University of California, Los Angeles, officially adopted its current name in 1927. Before that, it was known as the Southern Branch of the University of California and later as UCLA when it became a part of the University of California system. The name change reflected its evolution into a full university.
