2 cycle push lawnboy mower has slow gas leak . can I safely run it?

I would not recommend doing so. There is too much of a risk of the heat from the engine of the mower causing the gas vapor to combust. It should be okay if you were able to patch it however and it would not be necessary to purchase a new tubing or tank.
