Why is globalisation important?

Globalisation is when countries become more interlinked, economically, socially and politically.

- Trans-National Corporations are important in this process. These can provide employment in countries (such as call centers in India). They can also improve infrastructure (such as roads) in these countries. This may aid the development of the country.

- discuss global issues, such as climate change, together

- technology which can improve lives becomes available to more people

- the process has involved the development of new trade routes

- inflation is less likely to occur at a rapid rate due to competition on the market
