Yes running does help tour abs.. it helps by burning fat and stretching that loose skin so that your abdomen looks tight and fit!! If you are looking to cut them with running you may want to try sprinting 50 yard distances with your body bent (keeping it bent helps by having your stomach flexed. you may want to also include 6 inches, sit-ups, and other exercises like that, may choice would have to be the bicycle manuever(bicycle crunches). This exercise is performed by laying straight on your back on the floor, bending your legs to a 45 degree angle, tucking your hands behind your head and while moving your feet in a motion like you are pedaling a bicycle while touching your right knee with your left elbow and touching your left knee with your right elbow.
