What does it mean when a guy says sweet dreams?

It's another way of saying "good night", but surely you knew that, so I'm guessing you're asking if there's some hidden meaning to it... and the answer is no, or at least, it doesn't definitively mean anything more than "good night" does.

It does not mean he loves you. It also doesn't mean he doesn't.
