As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, John Kerry serves as the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, a position he has held since February 2021. In this role, he is responsible for advising the president on climate policy and representing the U.S. in international climate negotiations. Prior to this, he served as Secretary of State from 2013 to 2017.
