Why does man need to live in communities?

Two people living together before marriage is just a way to see if things will work out between them with their home habits (e.g., how they do the laundry, how they sleep, how clean they keep the house, etc.). This way, they do not have to marry and find out later that they do not like each other's house habits, and then divorce over such a trifle. Since marriage is a long-term thing, people live together before marriage before making such a big commitment.
