How do you make red hair dye brighter?

my hair is neon red. before it was dark brown, i used bleach 3 times to get to a really light blonde then used Splat red hair dye and it's killer. the only problem is that it fades really quick and goes a weird orange.. but if you mix in some of the color in the shampoo you use, it will keep it brighter longer. also only wash your hair every 3 days or so and use dry shampoo/baby powder in between. or you can go get ink manicures at paul mitchell schools for only 8 bucks:) good luck
