How to write an application for excursion trip?

I am writing as a student on behalf of my class about 'annual excursion trip'. As you may remember, last year our class went for an excursion trip to Murree. This activity was the choice of our teachers.

It is requested that permission be granted to the students of our class to arrange the annual trip for two days according to a choice of our own, of course with your prior approval of our plan. We will be very thankful to you for giving us the opportunity to demonstrate responsibility in the planning and execution of a plan for an enjoyable outing for everyone.
