Depending on the type of employment E.G. Private practice dental surgeries a Dental nurse will make less than a registered general nurse working for the NHS or for a private hospital.

An NHS dental nurse will earn a comparable salary to a registered general nurse as well as all of the inclusive benefits of working within the public services and pension.

With regards to hours of work a dental nurse will have a more structured timetable of work E.G. 9 to 5, etc where as a General nurse may be rotated on a 24 hour shift pattern.
