What was the first Pokemon ever made?

Many people would answer Bulbasaur, since it's the first Pokemon in the Pokedex, or Pikachu, because the cute, yellow mouse Pokemon is the mascot of the franchise. However, this would answer this question wrongly. Rhydon was designed and drawn first by Ken Sugimori and its data can be found first in original Pokemon Red and Green.
