Where did Psychic and clairvoyant scams originate?

Charlatans claiming to posses spiritual awareness when they don't are as old as human history. In fact it could be argued, that the Levite priests of Judaism, and later on the Catholic Church and Islam, were all scams cooked up by clever con-artists with no conscience. The more and more I deal with both Arabs and Jews the more I become convinced that Abraham, the historical Abraham, was a sociopath like that branch Davidian David Koresh, although, thousands of years ago there was no FBI to stop him, so his genes spread like a virus. You ever watch the movie "Dark Messiah?" It is about a Canadian criminal, it involes a case about a Canadian man who had several wives and lived in the wilderness. The man was a manipulative sociopath, who cut off the arm of one of his wives with an axe for "misbehaving." From what little I have seen of them, I believe that Abraham, father to the Jews and Arabs, was a sociopath like the one in that movie. After all, the character of a man is known by the behavior of his descendants. Makes me glad I'm apparently R1b eh?
